Prince Louis Still Hasn’t Reached This Big Milestone

Prince William and Kate Middleton are the proud parents of three wonderful children. The oldest, Prince George is 7, Princess Charlotte is 5, while the youngest, Prince Louis, is two. Royal fans have seen all three reach all kinds of royal milestones as they grow, but Prince Louis is a bit back compared to his siblings when it comes to one thing.

The two-year-old has made a couple of public appearances, with his debut being at Buckingham Palace during Trooping the Colour in 2019, but the young royal is yet to go on his first overseas royal tour alongside his parents and siblings.

This time last year it was reported that the Cambridge family would be visiting Australia, going to all the towns affected by the wild bushfires that ravaged certain regions. It was said that Australia’s Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, had issued an official invitation to Prince William and Kate’s household at the time.

But just like everything in 2020, the overseas tour was cancelled for the time being due to the still ongoing global health crisis. At the time it was unknown whether the children would be accompanying their parents to Australia, but if they did, it would be Prince Louis’ first royal tour.

Comparing this to his siblings, Prince George went on his first-ever royal tour to Australia and New Zealand back in 2014 when he was just only eight months old. One highlight of the tour was when the prince met with his namesake George the bilby in Taronga Zoo in Sydney, where he was given his own soft toy, which he really liked.

His sister, on the other hand, joined William and Kate on their tour of Canada in 2016, when Princess Charlotte was 16-months-old for her royal tour debut.

During the tour fans were treated to another milestone in the royals life, with Charlotte saying her first words in public at a children’s party in Victoria, British Columbia, when she ran towards a balloon arch and said “Pop”.

The two young royals also joined their parents for their visits to Germany and Poland in 2017.

With how things are, it seems that Prince Louis will have to wait a little bit longer to finally go on his first ever royal tour.
