Prince William And Kate Celebrate 12th Anniversary With New Photo

Prince William and Kate are celebrating a major milestone—their twelfth wedding anniversary. To mark the occasion, the couple released a beautiful photo taken by photographer Matt Porteous.

It shows Prince William and Kate sitting on their bikes at the Norfolk countryside.

With broad smiles, the couple has their arms wrapped around each other in the photo, which is captioned with “12 years” and a heart emoji.

The moment was captured by photographer Matt Porteous who has taken Christmas pictures for the couple a number of times, most recently in 2022, and taken images to mark significant moments in the royal couple’s life. Actually, it was taken at the same time as their last Chirtsmas card. While Kensington Palace has not confirmed where in Norfolk the photo was taken, the Waleses are known to enjoy their summer holidays at Anmer Hall on the Sandringham Estate.

Millions of people watched the unforgettable spectacle of Prince William and Kate’s wedding at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011. Kate looked stunning in a custom Alexander McQueen dress designed by Sarah Burton, which has since become an iconic fashion moment.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds paraded through the streets of London in a carriage and shared a kiss on the balcony of Buckingham Palace as R.A.F. planes flew overhead.

To celebrate their first wedding anniversary in 2012, William and Kate spent the weekend in Suffolk. While there, they attended the wedding of one of the Duchess’s school friends, Hannah Gillingham, the day before their own anniversary.

Since then, much has occurred. Prince William and Kate welcomed three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Furthermore, as William prepares for his eventual role as King, the couple has taken on even greater royal responsibilities.
