The Prince and Princess of Wales have released their official Christmas card photo, to mark the festive season. The beautiful photograph shows the family of five walking hand-in-hand through the Norfolk countryside.
The five royals can be seen strolling along a path. William, dressed in jeans, trainers and a navy shirt, features on the left side of the image holding hands with Prince George, who also wears trainers, shorts and a sky blue polo shirt.
In the middle is Princess Charlotte who flashes a big smile as she wears a denim playsuit. Next to her is Prince Louis who is also holding hands with mom Kate, who is in a repeat broderie blouse from M.i.h Jeans and blue denim.
The moment was captured by photographer Matt Porteous who has taken Christmas pictures for the couple a number of times, most recently in 2020, and taken images to mark significant moments in the royal couple’s life.
Kensington Palace said in a brief statement: “The Prince and Princess of Wales are delighted to share a new photograph of their family.”
“The photograph, which features on Their Royal Highnesses’ Christmas card this year, was taken by the photographer Matt Porteous earlier this year and shows The Prince and Princess with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in Norfolk.”
While Kensington Palace has not confirmed where in Norfolk the photo was taken, the Waleses are known to enjoy their summer holidays at Anmer Hall on the Sandringham Estate.
It has become an annual tradition for the royals to reveal which of their favourite photographs they have chosen for the cards they send out each Christmas.
The King and Queen Consort released their Christmas card photo at the weekend.
Photographer Sam Hussein captured the image of the couple during the Scottish Highland Braemar Games in September, just a few days before the Queen passed away.
