Prince William Attends The Wedding Of Former Girlfriend Rose Farquhar Alone
On Saturday, Prince William attended the wedding of his former girlfriend at St Mary the Virgin church in Gloucestershire. He reunited with old friends while Princess Kate stayed home with their three children.
Prince William was photographed wearing a black tuxedo and matching bowtie as he arrived to witness Rose Farquhar marry George Gemmell.
Rose, who is understood to be William’s first serious girlfriend, dated the future King back in 2000 shortly after he left Eton.
They are said to have first met as children before reuniting at the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire after Wills finished his A-levels at Eton.
Rose was considered to be Prince William first serious girlfriend. They ultimately parted ways amicably and are still close friends. Prince William later went on to date several women before meeting his now-wife Catherine in 2003.
After dating William, Rose studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York.
Pictures showed William wearing a tuxedo and no overcoat as he discreetly entered the church before the ceremony began as snow fell around the village.
Rose wore a traditional white dress and fur shoulder cape, while George appeared to be wearing a kilt.
The bride encountered difficulties when her wedding vehicle broke down, but she was still able to arrive at the altar in time in an Audi.
Among the attendees was also Olivia Hunt, another one of William’s ex-girlfriends, who was there with her lawyer husband Nicholas Wilkinson, as well as Kate’s previous lover from college, Rupert Finch.
Prince William’s appearance followed the release of the second part of Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary, which accused the King of ‘lying’ and William of screaming at his brother.
Harry said, “It was terrifying to have my brother [Prince William] scream and shout at me, and my father says things that simply weren’t true. And my grandmother, you know, quietly sit there, and sort of take it all in.”
