The NYC Gifts Prince William Is Bringing Back For His Children

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are getting some souvenirs from New York City! Prince William headed across the pond for a two-day trip to the Big Apple this week, and he’ll be bringing back some gifts for his three children.

The Prince of Wales, 41, stopped by an FDNY firehouse near the World Trade Center that was critical in the 9/11 recovery efforts in 2001 on Tuesday. There, he was given a few souvenirs for George, 10, Charlotte, 8, and Louis, 5. The Prince and Princess of Wales’ kids received small rubber fire trucks with the fire house’s logo, pens, notebooks and T-shirts from their stair climb.

After leaving the fire station, Prince William walked across the street for a surprise walkabout, shaking hands, chatting and posing for photos with locals and tourists who had gathered outside.

One person handed Prince William three “I Love NY” t-shirts for his children. The royal said that he would “love” to bring Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to New York City “one day,” according to reporter Carly Ledbetter on X (formerly Twitter).

It’s not uncommon for Prince William and Kate Middleton to leave royal engagements with some surprises to give their children. From personalized soccer jerseys to stuffed animals, they have plenty of keepsakes from their parents’ travels.

Prince William had a busy few days in New York, from taking meetings at the United Nations to wading into the river to see the Billion Oyster Project’s work to taking the stage at the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit. He even snuck in a workout — the royal revealed that he went for a run in Central Park on Tuesday morning.

“I decided to join the hordes of New Yorkers doing their morning routine,” he said at the summit. “It was wonderful waking up in New York on a sunny morning rather than the rain we had yesterday. It was beautiful getting some fresh air this morning.”

Back in the U.K., Princess Kate had outings of her own. On Monday, she made her debut as the Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm at the Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Yeovilton. The following day, she stepped out in London to visit Streets of Growth, a charity that works to transform the lives of young people.
