Ever since his birth in 2013, Prince George, the eldest of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children, has somehow become one of the biggest fashion icons or Prince George Effect, to ever come out of the royal family. Even as a toddler, he was making headlines, with any outfit he was seen in becoming an instant must-have fashion item.

And as he is growing up and his outfits change, he has only been getting more and more attention. Every time the little royal steps out for a public appearance, the outfit he is wearing immediately hitting headlines and selling out, both in stores and online. His ability to make any fashion item and instant sell are quite remarkable.

Kate Revealed A Mishap She Had Shortly After George Was Born

For this, he was crowned most influential royal when it comes to trendsetting, after triggering the most searches according to reports by eBay. He was even featured on GQ’s Best Dressed Men list in 2015. This should have been expected, as his mother, Kate Middleton, is one of the biggest fashion icons in the world.

Just to show you what is Prince George Effect, back in 2013 he was seen wrapped in a blanket from Aden+Anais, which in turn caused the company website to crash within four hours and in those four hours they saw a stunning 600% increase sales in the blanket.

When he was on his very first royal tour in New Zealand in 2014, he was seen wearing items from Early Days children’s clothing line. After that their sales shot up over 40% in the items that he was seen wearing.

At the start of the 2015 royal tour of Canada, the Prince was seen in an adorable sweater by Spanish brand Pepa & Co. This sparked the company to have an increase of 200% in searches for “blue jumper”.

Another item that became extremely popular due to the Prince was a My 1st Years bathrobe, which he wore when he met President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in 2016. He did look quite casual and comfortable for a meeting with the president of the USA.

For the Cambridge’s 2017 Family Christmas card Prince George went with an Amaia Kids blue and white shirt, and as you might guess, it sold out right away.

The Prince is only going to continue to grow as a fashion icon as he grows up and creates his own style. Mom Kate better watches out.
