Why Kate Will No Longer Homeschool George And Charlotte

Friday 3 July, marked a big day for Prince George and Princess Charlotte! The royal siblings celebrated a big milestone as they have finished their school year. Prince George has officially completed his junior Year 1, while his sister has finished Reception Year. 

Like parents around the world, Prince William and Kate have been homeschooling their children due to the coronavirus lockdown.

Although the siblings finished their education in lockdown, Government rules would have allowed them to return to school. In June, the schools reopened for pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6.

Kensington Palace has declined to comment on whether William and Kate they kept Princess Charlotte from returning to St Thomas’s Battersea.

However, reports suggested that the couple will keep their daughter at home until George can go back to school.

During lockdown, Prince William and Kate often talked about the challenges of homeschooling.

Kate has revealed that George wasn’t so happy about the fact that his little sister was getting more exciting school projects.

 “George gets very upset because he just wants to do all of Charlotte’s projects. Spider sandwiches are far cooler than literacy work!”

The kids have finished the school year, but very soon, Prince William and Kate will have another big schooling decision to; Whether to send their oldest child, Prince George, to boarding school.

Royal expert, Ingrid Seward discussing whether the couple will send their children to boarding schools. She said if Kate and William decided to send George to a boarding school, the choice could fall on the Duke’s former one.

 “William loved it at Ludgrove, as did his brother Harry.

“They both boarded full-time but Diana would visit at weekends. It’s a super friendly school so it could be a good choice for George.

“He might then follow his father to Eton College for his secondary education.

“I doubt the royals will have to go on any waiting lists, so they won’t need to rush their decision.”
