Why Prince Charles And Camilla Latest Visit Might Make William And Kate A Little Jealous

On Wednesday, Prince Charles and wife Camilla carried out a series of engagements in Northern Ireland for the first time in over a year. And one of the visits might have made Prince William and Kate a little jealous.

While at the Ulster Museum, Charles and Camilla was shown a handwoven replica of the famous throne from the HBO show Game of Thrones that was made for a party to celebrate the premiere of the final season.

“A frame of thrones,” Prince Charles quipped as he stood beside the throne for photographs.

Prince William and his wife are known for being great fans of Game of Thrones. In 2017 while on Radio 1, William revealed their favorite shows. “We’ve watched Homeland, big fans of HomelandGame of Thrones we’ve watched as well. Seems like everyone has watched Game of Thrones.”

During their tour of Germany in 2017, William and Kate bumped into Tom Wlaschiha (who plays Jaqen H’ghar on) at Berlin’s Clärchens Ballhaus dance hall and couldn’t help but ask for spoilers.

Tom said: “They said they really liked Game of Thrones and have watched every [season]. They wanted spoilers but I said I couldn’t tell them. I’m surprised they have time to watch such a long-running series.”

Game of Thrones has been a popular show within the royal family.

While on The Jonathan Ross Show in 2016, Kit Harington said: “Me and my brother got invited to Wimbledon, as you do, and a royal was hosting. We didn’t know which royal it was, and it was the Duchess of Cornwall and she was hosting it.

“And we got sat with her, me and my brother, and she leaned over the table and said ‘Are you dead?’ No word of a lie. I was playing a corpse… I won’t tell you how many episodes I’m lying dead. But it’s enough that I was out there for quite a while.”
