First UK Celebrity Guest To The Royal Wedding Has Been Revealed
As we are getting toward Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day, the excitement is growing ahead more and more. And among the other details about the wedding that have been revealed to us, we finally know the first UK celebrity that will attend their wedding.
Victoria Beckham has confirmed she and husband David have been invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. They are one of the hundreds of guests who will head to Windsor on May 19 to celebrate with the couple their big day.
Victoria Beckham appeared on The Late Late Show where host James Corden asked her whether she received an invitation to the wedding. “I, ummmm, I don’t know,” Victoria initially responded. Corden mocked her response before saying: “She’s totally going.”
“Yes. England is so excited. It’s great, isn’t it? They look so happy,” Victoria replied.
The host also didn’t forget to ask if she’s the designer of Meghan’s wedding dress.
“Maybe you know something that I don’t,” she said. “I’m not doing the dress. I’m not.
“Sadly, I’m not. But I am sure she will look incredible.”
This is not the first time for the Beckham couple to attend a royal wedding. They were also guests at Prince William and Kate’s wedding in April 2011.
This news comes after it was revealed that Theresa May, the Obamas, and President Donald Trump haven’t received an invitation.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson revealed: “It has been decided that an official list of political leaders – both UK and international – is not required for Prince Harry and Markle’s wedding.”
Unlike them, Prince William and Kate’s invitation list reflected William’s position as a future monarch and included foreign royals, Commonwealth governors-general, ambassadors, senior religious figures and many political leaders.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are tying the knot on 19 May 2018 at Windsor Castle.
