Prince Harry and Meghan continued their tradition of commenting on royal family birthday posts from their SussexRoyal Instagram account.
On Kate’s 38th birthday on Jan. 9, the Palace released a new photo of the Duchess to thank well-wishers for all the love and birthday wishes.
“Thank you, everyone, for all your lovely messages on The Duchess of Cambridge’s birthday! Photo by @MattPorteous,” they wrote.
Prince Harry and Meghan, using their official Instagram account, commented with a message underneath. They wish to read: “Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Cambridge today!” They also added a cake and a red heart emoji.
Today, the Duchess of Cambridge turns 38 and is reportedly spending the day with husband Prince William and their three kids George, Charlotte and Louis.
But, Prince Harry and Meghan weren’t the only ones to congratulate Kate on her birthday. The official Royal Family Twitter account also posted a selection of photos of Kate with the Queen and said: “Wishing The Duchess of Cambridge a very Happy Birthday!”
It also included a link about the Duchess of Cambridge and her work.
Prince Charles and Camilla posted on Twitter four photos of Kate, alongside a message saying: “Wishing The Duchess of Cambridge a very Happy Birthday”, along with a balloon emoji.
The Duchess’ birthday comes a day after Prince Harry and Meghan announced that they are stepping back as senior members of the royal family. Kate and William have not publicly commented on the couple’s decision. However, Queen Elizabeth II released a statement, which read: “Discussions with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are at an early stage.
“We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through.”
