Kate Revealed Charlotte Favorite Vegetable During Christmas TV Special

Princess Charlotte is quite a foodie! Not only does she enjoy olives and curry, now mom Kate revealed a vegetable she is a fan of!

For the “A Berry Royal Christmas”, Kate and Mary Berry toured the Wisley Royal Horticultural Society garden. While there, Berry asked the Duchess which foods and treats her children enjoy.

Kate revealed her family grow their own vegetables in an allotment in the gardens at Kensington Palace: ‘We’ve got carrots, beans, beetroot – a massive favourite – Louis absolutely loves beetroot,’ Kate said of her third child.

“Charlotte obviously likes her Charlotte potatoes.”

But, Charlotte not only loves eating, but she and her brothers are helping mommy with the cooking too.

When Berry asked Kate if she has ever cooked with her children, Kate said: “Yes I really enjoy it.

“Again for them to be creative, for them to try and be as independent as possible with it.

“Actually, one of the last things we cooked together was your pizza dough.

“We made pizza’s with your pizza dough recipe.”

Berry asked: “Did it work?”

“It did work, they loved it, absolutely loved it,” Kate answered.

Louis’s preference for beetroot inspired Berry to prepare a decadent chocolate beetroot cake during the special in honor of the little prince.  But the baking legend was even more to know that her name was one of his first word.

Kate said: “Actually I have to tell you, one of Louis’s first words was his version of Mary.

“Because right at his height are all our cooking books in the kitchen and you know children are really fascinated by faces, and your face are all over your cooking books, and so I used to say ‘thats Mary Berry’ and so one of his first words was Mary.”

Mary Berry replied: “Well I am very flattered.”

“So he would definitely recognize you if he saw you today,” Kate added.
