Meghan Carried Out Her Cutest Engagement Today! It Includes Dogs!
Meghan cradled an excited dog as she visited a dog charity for the first time after being named its patron.
She looked marvellous as she arrived at Mayhew on her third official royal job in just six days.
Meghan had on a light H&M āMamaā maternity dress for the visit, pairing it with an Armani coat.
She also made the most of visiting the animal welfare charity, cuddling and patting the dogs including a pup Roobarb.
The Duchess laughed out loud when a care home resident named Peggy McEachrom affectionately noted her baby bump, saying: “You’re such a fat lady.”
Pregnant Meghan replied: “I’ll take it.”
The former actress shall work with the organization to raise awareness for the work they do to improve the lives of the animals and the people of London.
The Duchess got down to business this year after receiving her first patronages – including two from the Queen.
The roles, which will see her work with Smart Works, the National Theatre and The Association of Commonwealth Universities, were a vote of confidence from the Queen after she joined the Royal Family.
It comes after a rocky start to her life as a royal, with the former Hollywood star plagued with speculation of a clash between her and Kate.
Rumours that Kate had been brought to tears during a bridesmaidās dress fitting for Princess Charlotte had been circulating last year, while it was claimed that the staff had nicknamed Meghan Duchess Difficult. But the Duchess of Sussex has fully embraced her new role this year.
Meghan will also attend a premiere of Cirque du Soleilās Totem with her husband, Prince Harry, in Support of Sentebale at the Royal Albert Hall.
It will raise awareness and money for Sentebaleās work with children and young people affected by HIV.
The former actress also visited Smart Works, one of her new patronages, last week. There, she gave some women fashion tips, even helping them prepare for job interviews.
It’s a busy day for the Royal women, with Kate visiting the Royal Opera House.
She wore a pink Ā£2,736 fuschia Oscar de la Renta peplum style dress, as she was taken through the Hamlyn Hall at the Royal Opera House.
She reportedly donned new shoes for today’s engagement, wearing black patent heels with gold buckle detail.
Completing her outfit, she was seen carrying a Ā£495 leather bag by Aspinal of London.
Kate also headed out on official business yesterday, visiting the Islington Community Garden for her first official Royal engagement of the year.
The Duchess of Cornwall will also undertake two engagements in Scotland.
Prince Charles’ wife is heading to the University of Aberdeen as part of her role as Chancellor.
