Prince William And Kate Release Statement Following Prince Philip Death

Prince William and Kate have released a statement following the sad news that Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh has passed away aged 99.

The couple shared their condolences with the Queen and wrote: “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss. Further announcements will be made in due course.”

On Friday, April 9, Prince Philip, the love of Queen Elizabeth‘s life, has died. He was 99.
“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh,” Buckingham Palace wrote.

His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. “
No cause of death was immediately given.

Prince Philip had been hospitalized several times in recent years, most recently in February.

Funeral arrangements were not immediately announced but royal funerals are routinely planned years in advance. Philip’s funeral plan is known as Operation Forth Bridge.
