Next Tuesday, the Duchess of Cambridge will visit the Royal Opera House to meet the costume department and The Royal Ballet dancers.
The statement reads: “On Wednesday 16 January The Duchess of Cambridge will visit the Costume Department @RoyalOperaHouse.
“The Duchess will find out more about the scale of the department’s work and their use of textiles before hearing from @TheRoyalBallet dancers about the design of their costumes.”
Royal fans know that Kate’s daughter Princess Charlotte enjoys dancing and she is already taking ballet lessons. The mother and the daughter also had a Christmassy outing when they attended a special viewing of The Nutcracker ballet. So, we hope that little Charlotte will join mom Kate for the special engagement!
During a visit to the Princess Diana garden at Kensington Palace proud mom Kate revealed Charlotte’s love of dancing. While chatting to English National Ballet director Tamara Rojo about Diana’s passion for dancing, Kate said of her princess: “She absolutely loves it.”
Dad William has also confirmed his daughter’s favorite hobby during a Commonwealth Day reception. During a chat with the Prime Minister of Malta, Joseph Muscat, and his wife, Michelle Muscat, he revealed: “My daughter Charlotte loves dancing.”
A day before that, Kate will carry out her first engagement of 2019. Kensington Palace has confirmed that her first engagement of the year will be next week on January 15.
Kate will visit the King Henry’s Walk Community Garden in Islington. There she will meet volunteers at the garden and hear about how the project brings people together through community and food.
Duchess Kate made a similar visit for her official return after her six-month maternity leave with Prince Louis. Catherine visited the Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife at Paddington Recreation Ground.
