The Cambridges Jet Away On Holiday For George’s Sixth Birthday
Prince William and Kate will spend the next month and a half on break from royal engagements. So, according to The Sun, the couple and their children have returned to one of their favourite destinations of Mustique, a private island in the Caribbean, for a relaxing break.
A royal source told The Sun of Kate and William’s vacation plans: “They know and trust the staff who work there, and they are creatures of habit. Kate used to go there, the Middletons used to go there. The family loves it.”
Prince George will celebrate his sixth birthday on the island again. The Cambridges traveled for a family holiday last year to Mustique during his birthday on July 22. It was reported that they have joined Kate’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton on the Middletons’ annual break.
Due to the relative privacy it offers. Mustique has become a favourite holiday destination of William and Kate’s.
The last time we saw William and Kate was on Sunday, when they stepped out for a day date at Wimbledon.
As they do every year, they are taking a break from royal duties in July and August before returning to work in September.
Even though the public won’t be seeing Kate and William soon, they will still probably carry out private engagements at Kensington Palace.
Still, they will make an exception on Friday 9 August to host The King’s Cup sailing regatta in Cowes in support of their patronages.
The King’s Cup will take place on the Isle of Wight, with Kate and William each acting as skippers of competing boats and hoping to win the King’s Cup, a historic trophy first presented by King George V at Cowes’ Royal Yacht Squadron in 1920.
