The One Thing Kate Has That Diana Always Wanted
In May 2015, Kate Middleton and Prince William got their second child, Princess Charlotte, which was a unfulfilled dream of William’s mother, the late Princess Diana. A royal insider has revealed that Princess Diana “always wanted a girl”, a wish she shared with her husband Prince Charles.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge often may tribute to the late Princess Diana, for example with her iconic sapphire engagement ring, which shows that her presence is still felt in their lives. Kate Middleton also draws some comparison to her mother-in-law with her fashion sense.
She has also taken a note from Diana’s book and has a hands-on parenting style, as photos of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis with their mother show.
But there is one thing that Diana would have absolutely loved that Kate Middleton has. A royal insider says that having a baby girl would have “made everything” for the late Diana and that she was “robbed of the opportunity” of loving her grandchildren. This comes from former royal butler Paul Burrell, who was part of Diana’s household from 1987. In the 2017 Amazon Prime documentary “The Diana Story” he reveals: “Diana always wanted a girl.”
Mr Burrell continues: “To have another baby girl in the family would have made everything for Diana.
“She was robbed of the opportunity of loving her grandchildren – especially Charlotte.
“She would have loved Kate, too.”
Prince William and Kate Middleton remembered Princess Diana in Princess Charlotte’s name, as her full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
Not a year has passed since Kate gave birth to her third child, there has already been speculating about a possible fourth child, but we have on real evidence, so can only wait and see if the Cambridges will add another little girl in their already wonderful family.
Going from one brother to another, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently expecting their first child, which has a due date sometime in Spring of this year. They haven’t revealed the gender of the baby as of yet, but there is already speculation, with Diana being a top pick for a girl.
