Watch Prince William Fly Charlotte To The Games By Helicopter

This week Princess Charlotte attended the Commonwealth Games, with the highlight of the whole engagement being the way in which she arrived at the event with her father.

The Duke of Cambridge went with a very hands-on approach to transport, as he suited up and flew his daughter to the city by helicopter himself. A new video posted on YouTube by Cobra Emergency shows the royal landing of the helicopter at the Tally Ho training ground centre for West Midlands police.

Charlotte can be seen sitting in the back seat and waving out the window, most likely to her mother Kate Middleton, who arrived by car and did not join them for the helicopter ride, meeting up with them only after they arrived at the venue. The trio were then escorted to the event by the West Midlands Police.

This just shows that Prince William still has his piloting skills, as he worked as a rescue helicopter pilot from 2015 to 2017, flying for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

His initial training came from the RAF, learning to pilot helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, with the royal continuing his training to becoming a search and rescue pilot in 2009.

After passing the final exam in 2010, he went on to conduct 156 operations and qualified as an operational Captain.

Prince William and his daughter Charlotte share a very close bond and have delighted royal fans for the second time with this in the last few days.

On Sunday, the royal duo shared a video on social media of them wishing the Lionesses luck ahead of their 2-1 victory over Germany in the Euros final.

During this event, the Princess could be seen giving her dad a thumbs-up as they enjoyed the swimming events, with both royals looking very engaged while watching the events poolside.

But it seems that Charlotte doesn’t like sharing with her father, as the little royal could be seen looking distinctly unimpressed as her dad smiled for a selfie with some fellow spectators. Charlotte could be seen in the stands alongside her father, shooting a doubtful glance at William as he beamed for the group photo. Perhaps she knows of the selfie rule as well.
