Why Prince George Didn’t Join Prince William To England VS Denmark
This Wednesday, Prince William went to Wembley Stadium to cheer on the English football team as they faced off against Denmark in the Euro Cup semi-finals.
However, for this game, Prince William was solo, with fans wondering why Prince George didn’t join him for the match. The young royal joined his father William and mom Kate as they watched England play Germany last week, with the Three Lions snatching the victory with 2 goals scored and none conceded.
The simple reason why Prince George wasn’t able to join his father for the match might just be up to timing. Last week the seven-year-old enjoyed the after-school treat as the game kicked off at 5 pm, while this week the game started at 8 pm, which might be a little too late for the young royal on a school night.
After their victory against Germany with the Prince present, royal and football fans were quick to social media and officially named the youngster England’s “lucky charm.”
The Duke of Cambridge was among the 60,000 fans at Wembley as they supported their team in the second semi-final of Euro Cup 2020, with the team of England beating Denmark 2-1, reaching their final for the first time since 1966.
Kate was unable to join her husband for the match as she is currently self-isolating at home after having been in contact with someone who has tested positive for the virus.
Before the semi-final game, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall also showed their support for the national team, sharing a sweet video online from Clarence House’s social media accounts.
As a way to boost morale for the English players, Charles and Camilla invited the Band of the Coldstream Guards to play Three Lions and Sweet Caroline in the garden at Clarence House.
