Prince William Gives Insight Into Latest Conversation With His Children

Prince William recently revealed new details about his parenting. The Duke of Cambridge is the proud father to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis-and the royal opened up about talking to his children about the global health crisis.

During a video call with the United Kingdom’s National Health Service staff from Homerton University Hospital in London, Prince William revealed that he has been talking to his three children about the pandemic on a daily basis.

The royals said this about this new part of parenting: “Catherine and I and all the children talk about all of you guys every day, so we’re making sure the children understand all of the sacrifices that all of you are making.”

He continued to thank all the NHS hospital staff on the video call, as well as around the UK: “A huge thank you for all the hard work, the sleepless nights, the lack of sleep, the anxiety, the exhaustion and everything that you are doing, we are so grateful,” he continued. “Good luck, we are all thinking of you.”

Photographs and footage from the virtual engagement with the hospital staff was shared by the official Kensington Palace Instagram account. The post was accompanied by the following caption: We are so thankful for the work of our incredible NHS staff 💙, Prince William spoke to staff from Homerton University Hospital in London to hear about their experiences in recent weeks, and to offer his thanks for their continued efforts.”

“In the past week, Homerton University Hospital has seen their highest number of admissions since the pandemic began, with over 200 COVID patients currently being cared for,” the captioned continued.

“Providing psychological support for staff at such a challenging time is essential, and this has been embraced by Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.”

The caption explained, “Funds from @nhscharitiestogether—of which The Duke and Duchess became join Patrons in December 2020—have paid for breakfast boxes sent to hospital and community staff, and a new break out room for A&E staff, and even the creation of a ‘Wobble Room’ in the hospital for staff to relax.”
